Hitachi will supply a 660 MW steam turbine generator for the Cleco Power’s Rodemacher Power Station near Boyce, Louisiana. The new power station will employ circulating fluidized-bed technology and is scheduled to be completed by mid-2009 at a total projected cost of approximately $1 billion. Hitachi, Ltd. will provide detailed design and fabrication of the steam turbine generator, and Hitachi Power Systems America Ltd. will provide project management, commissioning and technical advisory services.
