Hitachi offers a 2.0 MW Wind Turbine based on a collaboration between Hitachi Ltd. and Fuji Heavy Industries.

This collaboration merges the superior quality of Hitachi’s electric machine technology with the aerospace technology of Fuji Heavy Industries to produce a highly reliable product. Hitachi will be ready to introduce into the USA marketplace in the next few years.

Outstanding features of this 2.0 MW Wind Turbine include:

  • Downwind turbine design makes for ideal installation within complex terrains
  • Up-flow wind installation allow the -8 degree blade tilt angle to fully utilize effective energy for up to 8% increase in calculated Annual Energy Production (AEP)
  • Minimized Yaw Error due to inherent characteristics of down wind configuration similar to “Weathervane Principle”
  • Heavy Duty Wind Classification IEC 1 A
  • Proven protection against severe lightening
  • Easy component transportation through modular nacelle and optional split blade
  • Ideal grid connection through dynamic regulation of active and reactive power
  • Higher voltage generator in nacelle minimizing electric loss and cable weight
