HITACHI Ltd. has supplied high efficiency and reliable steam turbines around the globe for over seventy years. Over 1600 units have been supplied worldwide totaling more than 90 GW of installed generating capacity.
We have continuously developed our steam turbine product line since the manufacture and delivery of our first unit in 1933.
Hitachi is able to cater to various customer needs by supplying a wide range of steam turbines from small to large capacity for various applications. Our product range includes fossil applications as well as nuclear applications.
At Hitachi, we offer ongoing, full-service client support. We design new steam turbines, perform maintenance, plan facility upgrades, and continually stay abreast of customer need and requests.

Hitachi steam turbines for fossil applications are reliable and well proven around the globe and can be found in large coal fired plants, combined cycle plants, integrated gasification combined cycle plants, cogeneration and district heating plants, industrial plants, petrochemical plants and in small power generation applications.
Hitachi will provide the optimum turbine design for your project emphasizing superior quality, efficiency, and reliability.
We are not limited to modular turbine section designs. Whether our customers need a small turbine, a large turbine, reheat or non-reheat, a back-pressure or condensing turbine, we can tailor the equipment to your need.
We have experience with steam turbine applications in sub-critical and super-critical coal fired power plants, gas fired combined cycle plants, integrated gasification combined cycle plants, cogeneration and district heating plants, industrial and petrochemical plants, as well as nuclear plants.
Our steam turbines are able to operate at main steam and reheat temperatures up to 1130° F and at main steam pressures of up to 3900 psia.
Hitachi’s non-reheat turbines are flexible and reliable designs for combined cycle, cogeneration, district heating, industrial and petrochemical applications.
Hitachi reheat turbines are high quality, efficient and reliable designs for conventional thermal cycles, combined cycles, cogeneration and district heating applications.

Hitachi has several series of last stage blades for fossil-fuel and nuclear-powered machines. Hitachi's last stage blades have excellent operational characteristics and high reliability. Our reliability has been proven through many years of successful operation.
New long blades have been developed to improve plant efficiency and compactness for large steam power plants using advanced numerical simulation and measurement techniques such as an optical wetness probe. Computational fluid dynamics with high accuracy for transonic flow and advanced measurement techniques for wind tunnels and model turbines were applied to obtain a high performance blade.
Hitachi turbines and generators feature numerous Research & Development enhancements. For example, we conceived and produced the world's largest mono-block turbine rotor. And we developed advanced turbine blade profiles to enhance generating efficiency. This commitment to excellence continues well through the production stage. Hitachi design and production teams implement rigorous quality controls to ensure high performance and reliability.
The reliability of Hitachi steam turbine generators exceeds North American industry levels by an order of magnitude.

Hitachi has supplied many different types of steam turbines from small to large capacity for various steam conditions.
We have experience with steam turbine applications in sub-critical and super-critical coal fired power plants, gas fired combined cycle plants, integrated gasification combined cycle plants, cogeneration and district heating plants, industrial and petrochemical plants, as well as nuclear plants.

Hitachi has 30-years of Nuclear Power Plant Design & Manufacturing Experience.
